This Privacy Policy explains how Micawber Media LLC, doing business as BigLoads ("BigLoads," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the BigLoads platform.
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
- DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Company / Operator Refers to Micawber Media LLC, doing business as BigLoads, 1885 FM 2673 Suite H31, Canyon Lake, TX 78133.
Service Refers to the BigLoads platform available at https://www.bigloads.com, including its communication features, listings, account functions, messaging system, subscription features, SMS notifications, and related services.
Website Means https://www.bigloads.com.
Account Means a unique account created by You to access the Service.
Owner Means a User who lists a trailer on the platform.
Renter Means a User who messages, books, or inquires about renting a trailer.
Personal Data Means any information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with an individual.
Usage Data Means data collected automatically (browser information, IP address, device details, etc.).
Cookies Small tracking files stored on your device.
Data Controller Micawber Media LLC for GDPR purposes.
You / User / Consumer / Data Subject Means the individual using the Service.

- INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Notice at Collection (CCPA/CPRA). At or before the point of collection, we collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone number, mailing address, account credentials, IP address, device identifiers); commercial information (subscription and transaction records); financial information (payment method details, processed by Stripe); internet/network activity (browsing, usage, and interaction data); geolocation (approximate, from IP); and audio/electronic information (messages you send through the platform). We use this information for the purposes described in Section 4, and we may "share" internet/network activity identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising (see Sections 15, 17, and 21). We retain each category as described in Section 10. We do not sell personal information for money.

If you subscribe to a paid plan (Haul Star or Big Rig), you may also provide contact information intended to be publicly displayed on your Listing or Profile.

Paid subscribers may choose to publicly display:

This information becomes visible to the public and may be indexed by search engines. Free users are not publicly listed but may share these details privately via messages.
You may remove or modify public contact information at any time in your account settings.
3.1.2 Messaging Data
The platform stores messages exchanged between Owners and Renters to:
Facilitate communication Assist in customer support Prevent fraud or misuse Comply with legal requirements
Users may freely exchange contact information. BigLoads does not restrict or penalize communication.
3.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect:

This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Service.

No Booking Guarantee: BigLoads does not guarantee traffic, bookings, or income for Owners.
- SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We may share your data with:

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising and analytics technologies (such as the Google, Meta, and Pinterest tools described in Section 15) may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to opt out of this sharing (see Sections 17 and 21). We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. (See Section 6.)
- SMS / TEXT MESSAGING
BigLoads offers SMS text message notifications to users who provide a mobile phone number and consent to receive them.
What we send. If you opt in, we may send transactional and account-related text messages, including: alerts when a Renter requests or books your trailer, booking and reservation status updates, membership and billing notifications, and important account or service notices.
How you opt in. You provide your mobile number and give express written consent to receive text messages during account setup, when creating a listing, or in your account settings, by checking a consent box. Providing a mobile number and agreeing to receive texts is optional and is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services or of using the BigLoads platform.
Message frequency & rates. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How you opt out. You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation message and will not send any further texts unless you opt back in by replying START. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@bigloads.com.
Your consent and privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile information is used solely to deliver the notifications described above, delivered through our SMS provider (Twilio), and to operate the BigLoads Service.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- CALIFORNIA INVASION OF PRIVACY ACT (CIPA) & ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS CONSENT
The Service may use cookies, pixels, tags, session-analytics, and similar technologies that observe how you interact with the Website (including pages viewed and clicks) in order to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Service. Some of these technologies are provided by third parties (such as analytics and advertising partners named in Section 13).
Some of these technologies may record your interactions with the Website (including pages viewed, clicks, and, in limited cases, form inputs) on our behalf and on behalf of our service providers, who act as our agents and are contractually prohibited from using the data for their own independent purposes.
Notice and choice. We provide notice of these technologies here and, where required by applicable law (including the California Invasion of Privacy Act), we present a cookie/tracking notice or consent choice before loading non-essential third-party analytics, session-analytics, or advertising technologies, and we honor your choices, browser-based opt-out controls, and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. You may withdraw consent or opt out at any time through your browser settings, our cookie controls, or the opt-out links in Section 15. If you do not consent to these technologies, please adjust those controls or discontinue use of the Website.
We do not use these technologies to intercept the content of private communications for any purpose other than operating, securing, and supporting the messaging features you choose to use on the Platform.
- SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING (STRIPE)
When you subscribe to Haul Star or Big Rig:
Payment information is processed securely by Stripe We do not store full credit card numbers Stripe may store billing records and payment attempts Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis until canceled Subscription fees are non-refundable, except where required by law
- TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL DATA
Your information may be processed in locations outside your state or country. Where we transfer personal data of EEA or UK users outside those regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an applicable adequacy decision, and we take reasonable measures to protect the data consistent with this Policy.
- RETENTION OF DATA
We retain Personal Data as long as necessary for:

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data. To exercise these rights, contact support@bigloads.com.
- CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (18+)
BigLoads is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. We have no actual knowledge that we collect, sell, or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at support@bigloads.com and we will remove their data.
- ACCESSIBILITY
BigLoads is committed to making its Website accessible to people with disabilities, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and, as a guiding standard, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the Website, or need this Privacy Policy provided in an alternative format, please contact support@bigloads.com and we will work to provide the information or assistance you need.
- DO NOT SELL OR SHARE / GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL
You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (including cross-context behavioral advertising) by contacting support@bigloads.com or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device on which it is enabled.
