Please read these Terms and Conditions thoroughly before using our services.

By accessing or using our website and booking a reservation or listing a trailer for rent, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using our website or services. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these terms. The Company may amend these terms at any time, with the latest revision date reflected at the top of this page.

Definitions: "Company" refers to Big Loads.

"Website," "Platform," or "Services" refers to the website services available to both Trailer Owners and Renters at www.bigloads.com.

"Renter" is any individual or business that books or requests to rent a trailer through the platform.

"Owner" is any individual or business that lists a trailer for rental on Big Loads.

"Trailer" is a vehicle designed to be towed and used for hauling loads.

"Tow Vehicle" is any vehicle that meets the necessary load ratings and is equipped with the proper towing equipment, including a hitch, light plug, brake controller, and safety chains.

"Listing" refers to any page displaying a trailer for rent on the Big Loads website.

"Rental" occurs when a Renter completes a transaction to pay for the use of an Owner’s trailer.

"Rental Period" is the duration from the start to the end time of the rental, as agreed upon during booking.

"Deposit" refers to the amount required by the Trailer Owner, which is charged during booking and can be withheld if damages or other violations occur.

User Profile: All user profiles must include the user’s full legal name (first and last) in the relevant fields. Only the first name and the initial of the last name will be visible publicly. Users must maintain an active phone number and email address. This information will remain private.

Warranty Disclaimer: The Renter accepts the trailer in its current condition without any guarantees regarding its functionality or performance. The Owner does not warrant the trailer’s condition, quality, or performance.

Cancellations: Trailer owners are able to specify their own cancellation terms.

Deposit: The deposit amount is set by the Owner and charged at the time of booking. If damages, loss, or late return of the trailer occur, the Owner may withhold all or part of the deposit.

Rental Period: The "Rental Period" begins and ends as specified during the booking unless mutually agreed otherwise between the Renter and Owner.

Rental Extensions: Renters must process extension requests through the Big Loads platform. Any extensions arranged outside the platform are not supported by Big Loads for payment, deposits, or any other issues.

Prohibited Trailer Use: Unauthorized Operation: Only individuals named in the rental agreement may operate the trailer.

Age Requirement: Renters and operators must be 18 years or older.

Weight Limits: Renters must adhere to manufacturer’s weight specifications.

Illegal Use: Renters cannot use the trailer for unlawful activities or violate any safety regulations.

Unsafe Tow Vehicles: Only properly equipped vehicles may be used to tow a rented trailer.

Fees Incurred by Renter: The Renter is responsible for paying all fees related to the rental, including tolls, parking tickets, towing fees, damage costs, etc. Any unpaid fees may be charged to the Renter’s credit card.

Company Service Fees: The only fee BigLoads charges is for processing the payment for the rental. We do not collect a commission for any bookings.

Late Returns: A 24-hour grace period is not provided. If a trailer is returned late, the Owner may charge additional rental fees.

Rental Agreement: The Owner may use their own rental agreement. Big Loads is not a party to any agreements made outside of the platform.

Communication Guidelines: Renters and Owners must communicate respectfully and professionally. Sharing direct contact details before booking is prohibited.

Payment and Chargebacks: Big Loads uses Stripe as a third-party processor. The Company is not responsible for any fees or actions related to Stripe, including chargebacks.

Taxation: The Renter is responsible for paying any applicable rental taxes, while the Owner must adhere to their own state tax obligations. Owners may receive a 1099-K form for tax purposes depending on the revenue collected for rentals.

Liability: Big Loads is not liable for any damages or issues arising from the rental or use of the trailers. Both Renters and Owners must have their own insurance coverage. Big Loads will not be held responsible for any agreements between Renters and Owners outside of the platform.

Termination of Rental: The Owner can immediately terminate the rental if the Renter fails to comply with the rental agreement.

Repossession: If a trailer is not returned on time and the Renter does not cooperate, a repossession fee will apply.

Advertising: The Company reserves the right to use public listings for advertising purposes across various platforms.

Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions represent the full understanding between the parties involved and override any prior agreements.
